Great news from Betsy, Miss Indiana
Betsy sent us a message on Friday night (her first night in Vegas, competing for the Miss America crown) telling us she was announced as a Quality of Life Finalist. Here's some background on the Quality of Life Awards:
The Quality of Life Awards were initiated in 1988 as the result of
a concept developed by the Miss America Organization for a television
sponsor. They were the first community service-related awards presented
to Miss America contestants. For the past three years, the Miss America
Organization has been the sole sponsor of the three awards to national
contestants.
We are tremendously excited for her! She is one of seven finalists, all of whom will be interviewed on Saturday 1/27 at 8am. The winner and runners-up will be announced at 11am Las Vegas time. Check back for updates!
